A roof tent for your Range Rover
What fits, what your Range Rover can carry, and how the tent mounts. This is a guide, not engineering advice: your handbook and your rack maker's instructions come first.

Which size
Mid or Max. A Range Rover has a long roof. Measure the usable length of the roof rails: the Mid is 168 cm closed and the Max 188 cm.
- The Mid: £1,799, sleeps 2 adults + 1 child, 168 × 123 cm closed
- The Max: £1,999, sleeps 2 adults + 2 children, 188 × 123 cm closed
What the roof can carry
| On the move (dynamic) | up to 100 kg |
| Parked (static) | not published by Land Rover for the current model |
| Our tents | the Mid 50 kg, the Max 54 kg, plus 5 kg for the ladder |
Land Rover's accessory pages give up to 100 kg on the move. We could not find a published parked (static) figure, so ask a Land Rover dealer before you sleep in the tent. The tent, its mount and anything else on the roof all count towards the limit.
How it mounts
The maker's photos show the closed tent lying flat on a Range Rover's roof rails. With rails, we have thin brackets made for your car, so there are no cross bars to buy.
Height
Closed, the tent is 12.3 cm thick, so on thin brackets it adds little more than that. Measure once it is fitted. Check your garage and the car parks you use.
Check your own car
Tell our assistant who is sleeping, your car and its roof load, or add a photo of the handbook page. You get a preliminary answer straight away, and we confirm before you pay anything more than the £99 refundable deposit.
